Pocket Carts has no accounts and no servers. Your scores, coins and revives are stored on your device. The only data that leaves your phone is handled by Apple and by the advertising and purchase services described below.
What stays on your device
Game progress, high scores, coin balance, revive balance, daily challenge streak and sound settings are saved locally on your iPhone. Devon Leedy, the developer of Pocket Carts, cannot see any of it. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently, and there is no backup or restore for it beyond your own iPhone backups.
Advertising
Pocket Carts shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device identifier, general information about how you use the app, and crash diagnostics in order to serve and measure ads. This data is handled by Google under its own policies, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
When you first open the app, iOS asks whether Pocket Carts may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads still appear but are less relevant. You can change this at any time in Settings under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
Buying Remove Ads stops all banner and interstitial ads. Rewarded ads remain available if you choose to watch one for a revive.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Pocket Carts uses RevenueCat to verify purchase receipts and to remember that you bought Remove Ads. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase receipt. It never receives your name, email address or payment details, and neither does Devon Leedy. Apple's handling of your payment information is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores are submitted to Apple's leaderboards under your Game Center identity. This is optional: the app works fully without signing in, and scores are still saved on your device. What appears on a leaderboard is governed by Apple and by your own Game Center privacy settings.
Children
Pocket Carts is not directed at children under 13, and Devon Leedy does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact the email address below and it will be addressed.
Your choices
- Turn off ad tracking in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
- Buy Remove Ads to stop banner and interstitial ads.
- Sign out of Game Center to stop submitting scores.
- Delete the app to erase all local game data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
